What we do
Neuropsychological Assessment
Neuropsychological assessments help to better understand a persons cognitive skills and functioning. They use tests, interviews and observations to find out what someone is good at and where they might need support. This helps create a clear picture of the person and how best to help them.
Psychological Assessment
Psychological assessments help us understand a person’s wellbeing and how to support them. I use proven therapies to support that are tailored to each person’s needs.
Mental Capacity
Mental Capacity assessments determine if a person is able to make specific decisions at a specific time. A key part of my role is to carry out thorough assessments based on the Mental Capacity Act 2005 (MCA), legal guidelines, and specific brain injury recommendations.
Research and Development
Ongoing development is central to my work: i.e. Practise. I prioritise with a strong focus on refining approaches to supporting individuals and their families. With a background in academia, I use current research to inform my work. I hold NIHR funding for research on acquired brain injury, supervise doctoral students, and collaborate with world-leading mentors in the field.
Medico-Legal
I have experience providing expert witness services within civil and criminal litigation. I have completed specialist training in provision of expert witness services via a range of accredited bodies, including the British Psychological Society and Bond Solon. I continue to complete training to develop this skill-set.
Neuropsychological Rehabilitation
Neuropsychological rehabilitation is a holistic approach focused on supporting individuals cognition, emotional wellbeing, behaviour, and social functioning. My work involves both direct intervention and collaboration with the individual's personal and professional support networks.
